ARCHERY AND GIZMOS

We took archery into a big field this week. At first we tried firing arrows into balloon zombies- we hit 4 balloon zombies. Then we went into a long distance competition (sometimes zombies try to run away). I reckon mom and i were pretty even at that start then i pulled away with some really long shots which were then BEATING but M-O-M came along and nearly hit the soccer goal which was at least 60 meters away. I am loving archery and am now saving for a compound bow. It's really professional.

This week we finished reading the fourth (and so far the last) Barnaby Grimes book. I decided to dress up in a Victorian style and we took TABLEAU photos of scenes from the book. The last book, The Phantom of Blood Alley was about the invention of photography so we made the photos look like early photogravure.

So far the Olympics have been pretty upsetting and they haven't even really started yet! Football Ferns played well and LOST to Great Britain, The OLY WHites played well and LOST to Belarus (notice a pattern?). I am hoping to see a few goals in the next games from our teams. Enjoy the Olympics everyone and I will be back next week! Toodles The-O

  2. Great outfit and poses, The Moravian boar hound looks very dangerous. You seem too be well into the character. I have never read the Barnaby Grimes series but your comments and photo storys have perked my interest. I'm sure the ballon zombies have renamed the field above to "the field of screams",
How was your precision? You must be very skilled to hit the targets from the distance shown above. great job!
