update

It has been a week since the Christchurch Earthquake. Some very sad news. Many people have died. about 150 have been identified but our prime minister and the police say it will probably be over 200 when they identify all the bodies. There have been some amazing stories of how people have escaped or survived. My Auntie Irene has gone down to the hospital there to be a relieving doctor because the Christchurch doctors are exhausted. Also my friend's dad maybe going down to Christchurch to be a relieving police officer. I am a little bit worried about this because there could be more aftershocks but I am proud of Irene. She is a great doctor. This week we are learning about disaster preparation, our kit needed updated. Man there were noodles from 2006 in there! We are going on an angle hunt today with the camera. My favourite angles are 360 degrees and obtuse ones. Take care everyone and update your disaster kit! The O

  1. sounds like a productive week despite the turmoil. updating a disaster kit is a good idea...in fact having a disaster kit is a good idea. Do you have a list to share as to what makes a great disaster kit?
