Hi everyone!
This week I have been reading Lafcadio: the Lion who Shot Back, to my mom aka MsP. This was an amazing story. Some parts made me laugh like a chipper and some parts, like the ending, made me cry like a baby! I hope Lafcadio didn't commit suicide but instead he went somewhere and restarted his life. It taught me to not try to change people into something they're not. Shel Silverstein said, "Comfortable shoes and the freedom to leave are the two most important things" I would also add that family is important too. I have a link here for you to listen to a little piece from Lafcadio. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWFR8pcm8x4
Now to exploring: On wednesday we went to the river on our bikes and sat down by the river and watched it go by. I tried to throw stones to the other side. This took about 25 goes. Then I caused a miniture avalanche but I was successful. Then we went exploring other roads along the river and found blackberries and 1 rabbit but no marshmallows (you have to watch the clip to get that joke).
I made brownies, did some projects and got a new video: Horrible Histories" which I'm going to watch now. Goodbye Peoples. Theo
well that certainly seems like a full week. I think I would add friends and peanut butter to comfortable shoes, freedom to leave and family if we are makinf a list. Glad your avalanche was not major. Rock tossing and bike riding is a good way to spend the day, or week. A bientôt!
ReplyDeletehey Theo,
ReplyDeleteCertinly was a busy, and fun week.
I especially liked the river part. but, then, I love rivers! In fact, sitting beside rivers was my job for a long time...cool eh?
So, can you sit by the same river twice? Let me know what you think?
Papa Moe
Thanks for your comments. I think rivers are changing 24/7. Like we went to the Waiohine last week and the diggers and stuff had changed it heaps. Today we went further up into the gorge. It changes because it's new water going by every second. The atmosphere stays the same though. Like each river is different. We are going the mouth of the river 2moro. I am making a power point about this river and I will post it whenI'm done. Theo
