Well this is the end of week 1. I have learned some stuff about Shel Silverstein. He was a poet. I didn't think I would like poetry but...when I found out about the person, his poems seemed more like him talking. We listened to his voice on youtube. I really like Runny Babbit and will do some spoonerisms next week. The Giving Tree is awesome. I put a link here for you to have a story yourselves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TZCP6OqRlE
Setting up my blog and my gmail was great. Every morning I check my email and it makes me feel happy to read the messages.
We set up the school cave. I liked building my bookshelves and moving furniture. Bam is in my cave all day until it gets too hot!
In maths we are using real things for real maths. This is a good idea because I work better when I am working with real things. Like waterfalls, mountains, and rivers. We found out about the world's highest longest and tallest stuff and I can figure out the difference between them. I also am getting pretty good at Zeus on the Loose. It's a game about adding and subtracting and climbing Mt Olympus.
Sutherland falls NZ, 3rd highest waterfall in the world
Sounds like it was a full week. Phew! I thought home school was supposed to be sleep in, eat chips and watch TV!?!
